MDF500 BORN IN THE GULF WAR
MDF500 was developed by or the U.S. government to eliminate biological spores and toxins, such as anthrax during the Gulf War. Sandia National Laboratories, developed the formula to decontaminate biological toxins (e.g. mustard gas and anthrax). It does this while remaining non-hazardous and environmentally friendly.
This formula, until recently, has been available only to the government and military contractors. It was recently recognized by the EPA as useful in decontaminating buildings and homes of mold spores.
Accurate and has found it to be the most cost effective mold remediation technique available today.
How Does MDF Work ?
MDF500 can decontaminate chemical micro toxins. In Sandia National Laboratory tests of the formulation, the following chemicals were rendered no less than 95% decontaminated in 15 minutes and no less than 99% decontaminated in 60 minutes: Malathion ( liquid ), Hydrogen Cyanide ( gas ), Sodium Cyanide ( lead ) Butyl Isocyanate ( liquid ), Carbon Disulifide ( liquid ), Phosgene ( gas ), Chlorine ( gas ), Anhydrous Ammonia ( gas ).
MDF500 can be used on lumber, drywall and flooring materials.
Colorado State University lab tests proved MDF500 killed 99.9999% of Stychybotroys Chartarum spores, an economically important fungal contaminant in water damaged buildings. The formula also neutralized those toxins on wet wallboard.

Modec's Decon Formula MDF-500 has been registered for use with the USEPA. Produced under license from Sandia National Laboratories, MDF-500 incorporates patented technologies originally developed to counter chemical and biological warfare toxants.
BACTERICIDAL ACTIVITY - When used as directed MDF-500 exhibits effective disinfectant activity against the organisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and meets the requirements for hospital use.
FUNGICIDAL ACTIVITY - MDF-500 has been demonstrated to be fungicidal against fungal spores (Trichophyton Mentagrophytes).
REMEDIATION - As MDF-500 is a disinfectant and neutralizing cleaner, it provides professionals with an unmatched remediation tool. It cleans and restore surfaces and areas affected by mold and its chemical metabolites. In addition, it is safe to use in virtually any indoor remediation application.
RESTORATION - MDF-500 has been shown to be an effective cleaning agent for Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds [mVOC's] and mycotoxins, chemicals byproducts that have been known to be allergenic. MDF-500 mitigates conditions caused by these metabolites of mold, and even retards mold regrowth for an extended period after application.
1. Effective against pathogenic bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Kills mold, mildew, and fungal spores (Trichophyton mentagrophytes).
2. Disinfects, deodorizes and cleans hard, non-porous surfaces such as floors, metal surfaces, stainless steel, porcelain, glazed ceramic tile, plastic, bathroom and cabinets. This product deodorizes areas prone to musty or foul odors like garbage cans, basements, and restrooms and from odors caused by microorganisms. A rinse with potable water is required for surfaces in direct contact with food and metal surfaces. Can be used to clean air duct surfaces.
3. Controls mold and mildew on hard, non-porous surfaces, clean stains caused by mold and mildew growth. Retards mold regrowth on surfaces.
4. MDF-500 can be applied to clean and restore other affected surfaces such as cement, sidings, wood drywall, stucco, floors, stucco, walls, fences, decks, painted walls, metal surfaces, stainless steel, porcelain, glazed ceramic tile, plastic surfaces, bathrooms, shower stalls, bathtubs, cabinets, kitchen counters, sinks, appliances, terracotta, planters boxes, humidifier and air conditioner drain pans. Also can be used to deodorize water-damaged carpet. A rinse with potable water is required for surfaces in direct contact with food and metal surfaces. Effective for treating smoke odors from fire, cigarettes, and cigars in home or car.
5. Effectively eliminates odors caused by microorganisms and the root causes of odor. Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds [mVOC's] often have strong and/or unpleasant odors, and can be the source of odors associated with molds. MDF-500 mitigates the odors caused by these metabolites of mold, including mycotoxins and microbial volatile organic chemicals, and allergens that may be caused by mycotoxins. Safe to use on a variety of surfaces and materials.
6. Combined with a sensible water intrusion remediation and moisture mitigation, MDF will provide surfaces that are mold, mildew, and fungus resistant. Periodic inspections for mold development, both inside and outside are recommended.
